I want to emphasize how broad yoga really is and how much even the most basic practices have to offer each person, from any walk of life.
Much of my emphasis in teaching is aimed toward beginners. I feel that it is so important to have a sound grounding in the basic practices of yoga, in order to develop a useful personal practice.

Yoga is the union of breath and movement. By linking these two basic functions we can move to a greater level of health, relaxation and peace of mind. The poses of yoga (asanas) bring alignment to our bodies, which in turn brings the body to balance, promoting health.
The breathwork of yoga (pranayama) brings oxygen into our bodies, filling them with life force and feeding our cells, while expelling waste materials such as carbon dioxide, resulting in a cleaner system that enhances our vital functions and our mental/emotional state.
